The content standard is developed by adapting International curriculum of Cambridge University and national curriculums. The curriculum starts at the first year using IGCSE, then A-LEVEL at the second year and at the third year we use preparation curriculum for National Examination for International Program Students. For regular program students, they use KTSP curriculum (competency based) with bilingual (Indonesia-English) books in order to give chance either students and teacher to have an opportunity to the English exposure.

All learning process is done in English and also uses ICT learning media. All area in the school is covered with INTERNET HOTSPOT AREA enabling all students and teachers to have easy access to the internet. This possibility will give significant impacts to the education process.

To increase the standard quality of the alumni, SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung makes a joint program with SMAN 78 Jakarta which have made international examination earlier and joint programs with CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY. Moreover, SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung is trying to make a Sister School Programs with other equal schools abroad. This last program is believed to be able to increase competitive level of schools globally.

In the effort of increasing the qualities and skills of all education staffs especially in English, all science teachers have been trained with special Academic English Program. This special training enables teachers to improve their ability in using Technology Information and Communications and to take advantage of this technology to increase learning process achievements.

To improve the quality of school managements, SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung will apply  ISO 9001:2008 as a management quality standard and computerize all academic and financial information systems.

To increase the scoring standard, SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung will make a joint program with  Cambridge University to carry out International examinations.

To increase the quality of learning process, the school has to provide all components of education such as laboratory, sport centre, art centre, and learning activities with required equipments.

The activity will cover some efforts to formulate adaptation syllabus from Cambridge University

The process includes several activities to advance  learning process standard which adopt developed countries education methods from OECD countries. The steps will  cover a serial programs of improving teacher ability in comprehending several teaching methods using ICT. The final expectation of this program is about 75% of learning process fulfill national and international standard.

The most important activities are to improve the number of students which pass national and international examination and increase students quality to match the requirements of National and International Scientific Olympiads.

The standardization covers several activities which are aimed to improve the quality and quantity of teachers able to communicate in English and to use ICT. Therefore about 70% teachers will match the requirements to be certified teachers for national and international level. The program also enable the teacher to pursue higher education for master and doctoral programs in order to increase the quality of human resources.

This activity is to improve management process in order to meet ISO 9001:2000 requirements and to give advantage the school management so total quality managements can be reached.

In this activity the school will apply an international grading based on Cambridge University examinations for the final assessments.

To improve the quality and quantity of teaching-learning equipments so 70% of learning process are based on ICT. The school will also build a computer laboratory and multimedia laboratory.
